Privacy Policy

We keep things as simple and honest as our products. Here's exactly what data we hold and why.

Last updated · June 2026

Who we are

TheProudLondon (“we”, “us”) sells handcrafted hemp bags and accessories at theproudlondon.co.uk. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. Questions? Email hello@theproudlondon.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Order details — name, email, phone, shipping & billing address.
  • Payment — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account / admin — login email for store administrators only.
  • Technical — basic request data (IP, browser) needed to serve and secure the site.
  • Cart — held in your browser’s local storage on your device, not on our servers until you check out.

How we use it

  • To process, ship and support your orders.
  • To send order confirmations, receipts and shipping updates.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
  • To comply with our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your data, and we do not run third-party advertising or behavioural tracking.

Who processes your data

We share data only with the providers that run the shop:

  • Stripe — payments & receipts.
  • Supabase — secure database & file storage.
  • Vercel — website hosting.
  • Shipping carriers — to deliver your order.

Each is bound by their own data-protection terms.

Cookies

We use only essential, functional storage: a cart in your browser, a secure admin session cookie, and Stripe’s checkout cookies during payment. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for as long as required for accounting, tax and warranty/repair purposes (typically up to 7 years), then deleted or anonymised.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can access, correct, delete or port your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email hello@theproudlondon.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We may update this policy as the business evolves; the date above always reflects the current version.
